We all need to prepare and overcome every trial that comes our way.

Matthew 5:16 – In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise  your heavenly Father.
Reading Acts 9:36-42 ; about how Tabitha(Dorcas in Greek) was such a kind and caring, devout follower of Christ but her life ended early. Many grieved of her going but when Peter came and prayed for her, the Lord gave her life again.

How life can end up shorter than you imagined. There’s a Indian(Cherokee) proverb which says…..

When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. Live your life in such a way so that when you die, the world cries and you rejoice.

I know I can be a better person as Jesus as my goal. Though sometimes I do tumble but believe that He will pick you up and that you can continue walking with Him as your strength.

Under His wings, under His wings,
Who from His love can sever?
Under His wings my soul shall abide,
Safely abide forever.

Under His wings, what a refuge in sorrow!
How the heart yearningly turns to His rest!
Often when earth has no balm for my healing,
There I find comfort, and there I am blessed.

Resting in Jesus, I’m safe evermore.

He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. (Psalm 91:4)

Immediately I was taken back and I thought of how I am searching more and more about Christ but is my foundation strong? Am I losing my focus to learn more about Him to serve Him with love and faith or am I just doing it to look smart?

Few weeks later, I was doing this devotion from ODJ(Our Daily Journey with God) and the tittle is ‘come!’. Reading John 1:35-42, what struck me was that Andrew after spending time with Jesus, told Simon ( who was later called Peter) about Christ and I just wanted to cry. How many friends have I talked to about Christ?  I have been really busy in college and I just can’t find the right time to talk to them about Christ (majority of them are Malay).

Psalms 27:4

One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him is his temple.

Dear God,

I pray You will help me have the stamina to continue to seek You and tell others of You.

Keep me focus on You and not to lose my way.

Thank You, Lord for being there for me all the time and I WANT to be there for You too.

Keep my candle burning bright for You.

In Jesus name, Amen.

Deuteronomy 32:3

I will proclaim the name of the LORD. Oh, praise the greatness of our God!

This was something I heard from mum and I was blessed by this.

Her friend was trying to start her car to get to chuch but the car engine was dead. She tried numerous times to start it, but it just wouldn’t start. She ran back home and called her sister(who lives near by) if she could give her a ride there but her sister’s phone was not answered. She really wanted to go to church and she thought of calling a mechanic to fix the problem but it was to early to call a mechanic to come help because it was too early in the morning. So she looked at the car and said with a voice full of confidence, “In the name of Jesus, I command you to start!” Then she turn the key again to start the car and guess what. IT STARTED!

Although it sounds funny at first but when you think about it again, she had confidence in the Lord and faith that it would start and by turning the key to get the car started after she had COMMANDED IT in His name, it started! You need to believe in Him and trust that He will help you. Never for a second doubt His power for He is GOD. However, it does not mean that when we ask God to help, He does all the work. NO! Let me tell you this :

We do what is POSSIBLE and we let God do the IMPOSSIBLE.

James 1:17

“…, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”

Conference Theme: COUNT ME IN!

“The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

Lets all pray for this conference to inspire many youths to step forward into missionary work and that our Lord will touch many lives during the conference. Also for the speaker, Dr.Alastair Lees McGregor and those working behind the scenes; pray that they will have the stamina, both physically and spiritually while preparing for PITH. =) Hope to see YOU there! =D

The dictionary definition of perseverance is to persist in or remain constant to a purpose, idea or task in the face of obstacles or discouragement.

When I said, “I’ll follow you, Jesus!”; I knew that I would go through obstacles/trials and I thought I was prepared to face it all alone. I never really thought of how God wants to help me too. I have been very selfish. I forgot that I cannot do everything alone. My mum always said, “Do what you can and let God handle the rest.” God is the one and only who can make the impossible become possible. If we could do the impossible without God, wouldn’t that make us proud men? God reminds us everyday that when something seems impossible, we look to Him for help. To me, it is like a reflex to ask God for help whenever I’m troubled but when I think back did I really ask with a earnest heart? The verse above is a way that God is telling me to not persevere alone but to persevere with Him. So PERSEVERE PEOPLE! =)

Really! I AM BORED! Although I have things to do, does not mean I am fully occupied the whole day. I guess I need to think more stuff to do other than cleaning the house.

ANYWAY, have to remember to stay focus on God. I want to thank you to my dear friends who have been checking up on me and my walk with God (you know who you are…). It is great to know that I have friends who hold me accountable with the promises I made with God. I pray that I will continue to grow in His love and tender care.
